Can a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 run Hunyuan Video?
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 has 8GB VRAM. Here's exactly whichquantization (FP16, FP8, GGUF)of Hunyuan Video fits and how smoothly it runs.
Too much for this GPU
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (8GB) doesn't have enough VRAM for Hunyuan Video even at its smallest size (8.5GB needed). Rent a cloud GPU or step up to a bigger card.

Hunyuan Video variants on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
| Variant | Precision | Size | Total VRAM needed | Headroom | Fits? | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Q4_K_M GGUF | GGUF Q4_K_M | 8.5GB | 10.5GB | -2.5GB | ✗ OOM | Download ↗ |
| FP8 (Recommended)REC | FP8 | 13.1GB | 15.1GB | -7.1GB | ✗ OOM | Download ↗ |
| BF16 (Standard) | BF16 | 26.2GB | 28.2GB | -20.2GB | ✗ OOM | Download ↗ |
"Total VRAM needed" = variant size + 2.0GB estimated text-encoder/VAE overhead. Headroom = GPU VRAM (8GB) − total needed. Green ≥ 1.5GB headroom; Red ≤ −2GB (will OOM).
